The Fresh District is proud to present the inaugural Georgia Seafood Festival!
The festival will bring together the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the Georgia Coastal Seafood scene. Event attendees will have the opportunity to learn how important the seafood industry is to all Georgians, sample a wide variety of fresh fish right off the boat cooked in a myriad of styles, with a focus on Wild Shrimp from Georgia. Attendees will also participate in fun and games related to Georgia’s agriculture and fishing industries, while listening to bands from Georgia’s coastal cities. Patrons will also have the opportunity to learn about the wide variety of vacation destinations on our Georgia coast, sample fresh produce from all over Georgia, drink eclectic Georgia Coastal cocktails, and watch Atlanta’s top amateur and professional chefs compete for a coveted slot in the Annual World Food Championships!

Day to Remember!
A big part of Seafood Festival fun will be a cooking challenge in which four of Atlanta’s best chefs compete for a spot at the 2020 World Food Championships. Hosted by celebrity chef/TV host Jernard Wells, Compete Wells features local chefs and their tasty dishes of seafood harvested fresh from across Georgia. The competition will be judged by celebrities from the food, sports, politics, business and entertainment fields. Come watch as these talented chefs try to punch their ticket to the world's biggest stage of celebrity cooking!
The 2019 Georgia Seafood Fest is free to all general admission participants for an incredible afternoon of live music, competitive cooking by top chefs plus educational and interactive fun from our partners and the vibrant businesses along the Battery. There are still manyincredible full-size seafood offerings available from our participating vendorson an ala carte basis. Please note that a vast majority of participating vendor tents, foodtrucks, and other activities will accept credit cards ONLY - some will acceptcash, particularly the bars/restaurants within The Battery Atlanta, but beprepared to make festival purchases with a card.
